ODON Equestrian was established in 1999 by David Snr and David Jnr O’Donoghue and is based in Midleton, Co Cork. David Snr already had 40 years of experience in metal fabrication at this stage. Another son, Stephen, joined the business in 2006.
The company specialises in manufacturing equestrian equipment, including horse gallopers, horse walkers, lunging rings, a harrow for arena and gallop maintenance and starting stalls and stocks.
International market
Over 27 years, Odon have been the largest supplier of equine equipment in Ireland with an ever-growing international market. Odon manufacture the largest horse gallopers in the world, with a diameter of 50m (165ft), capable of cantering 14 horses at up to 50km/hr. They also manufactured a horse galloper that can exercise 56 horses at once.
Walkers can be supplied for any diameter and number of horses to exercise. In recent years, Odon have developed a fully electric walker that requires no maintenance and no ongoing servicing costs, compared with a conventional hydraulic-driven walker.
Their lunging ring can be manufactured up to 20m (65ft), with the added safety benefit of continuous rubber on the surrounds.
Odon also supply a wide range of harrows for arena and gallop maintenance for all types of vehicles and surfaces, including an articulated harrow for circular arenas and gallops. They also have a multi-master roller for wood chip gallops.
Quality
Odon’s ethos is to supply quality equine equipment that gives a long product service life, with an after-sales service.
Odon Equestrian products are CE Certified with a two-year guarantee, which ensures a guaranteed quality product.
