GROUP 1 stars Ambivalent, Complacent, Ectot, Hartnell, Magic Hurricane, Ridasiyna, Seal Of Approval and, of course, the mighty Treve have shown us what progeny of the Montjeu (by Sadler’s Wells) stallions can achieve, and there could be sons and daughters of Pour Moi who can take their place among those standouts before too long. His profile always made it likely that his freshman year would yield some winners in the second half of the season, with one or more blacktype horses among them, and that is what he achieved in 2015.

Those first juveniles include the unbeaten pair Diamonds Pour Moi and Vincent’s Forever, the latter a John Gosden-trained Derby entrant, as well as the seven-length Nottingham winner Mr Khalid, a Marco Botti trainee who also holds classic entries.
