  • Classic-placed Group 2 scorer Nightflower got her first victory at the highest level when taking the Group 1 53rd Preis von Europa over 12 furlongs at Cologne. The Peter Schiergen-trained three-year-old was bred by Jurgen Imm, she is a daughter of Castle Hyde Stud stallion Dylan Thomas (by Danehill), and she is the first foal out of the Group 2 Oaks d'Italia winner Night Of Magic (by Peintre Celebre). It is the immediate family of the German Group 1 classic stars Next Desert (by Desert Style) and Next Gina (by Perugino).

  • Red Dubawi won the Group 1 Premio Vittorio di Capua over a mile at San Siro, a first win at the highest level for the seven-year-old son of Dalham Hall Stud ace Dubawi (by Dubai Millennium). The entire was bred by Haras des Sablonnets, he is trained by Erika Mader in Germany, he is out of the 12 furlong stakes winner Maredsous (by Homme De Loi), and is related to several other blacktype earners.

  • Port Douglas came out best in a blanket finish for the Group 2 Juddmonte Beresford Stakes over a mile at the Curragh, a second win from four starts for the Aidan O'Brien-trained son of Galileo (by Sadler's Wells). He is out of the dual Group 2 scorer Walzerkoenigin (by Kingmambo), bred by the syndicate that carries that mare's name, and his siblings include the Group 1 Deutsches Derby winner Wiener Walzer (by Dynaformer).

  • Coolmore got off the mark at the third attempt, taking the Group 3 C.L. & M.F. Weld Park Stakes over seven furlongs at the Curragh. The Aidan O'Brien-trained chesnut is a full-sister to the multiple Group 1 star Gleneagles (by Galileo) and to the Group 1 Irish 1000 Guineas winner Marvellous. Her dam You'resothrilling (by Storm Cat) won the Group 2 Cherry Hinton Stakes and is a full-sister to the Group 1 standout and multiple US champion sire Giant's Causeway.   • Victoria Regina won the Group 3 Premio Elena e Sergio Cumani over a mile at San Siro, a first pattern success for the first-crop daughter of Coolmore Stud stallion Mastercraftsman (by Danehill Dancer). The four-year-old is the first foal out of For Joy (by Singspiel), a winning full-sister to the Group 3 scorers Abejr and Gloomy Sunday.

  • Photo Call won a seven furlong Fairyhouse maiden last year, when trained by David Wachman, and on Saturday night the four-year-old took the Grade 1 Rodeo Drive Stakes over 10 furlongs on firm turf at Santa Anita. The daughter of multiple champion sire Galileo (by Sadler's Wells) is now trained by Graham Motion, she was bred by Evie Stockwell, her pattern-winning dam Theann (by Rock Of Gibraltar) is a half-sister to the multiple Group 1 star Halfway To Heaven (by Pivotal) and also to the dual pattern-winning sprinter Tickled Pink (by Invincible Spirit). Her grandam Cassandra Go (by Indian Ridge) was a leading sprinter and is a half-sister to the classic-placed pattern scorer and notable sire Verglas (by Highest Honor).

  • Shalaa extended his winning run to five with a narrow win in the Group 1 Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes over six furlongs at Newmarket. The dual Group 1 star was bred by Mogeely Stud, he is trained by John Gosden, and he is a son of the Irish National Stud ace Invincible Spirit (by Green Desert). His dam Ghurra (by War Chant) is a blacktype-placed half-sister to the 1997 Group 1 Middle Park Stakes winner Hayil (by Dayjur).

  • Lumiere won the Group 1 Connolly's Red Mills Cheveley Park Stakes over six furlongs at Newmarket, beating Illuminate and Besharah in a close finish. The Darley-bred grey is trained by Mark Johnston, and she is a daughter of Kildangan Stud stallion Shamardal (by Giant's Causesway). Her winning dam Screen Star (by Tobougg) is a direct descendant of the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies and Grade 1 Hollywood Starlet Stakes heroine Outstandingly (by Exclusive Native).

  • Foundation extended his unbeaten record to three when beating Deauville in the Group 2 Juddmonte Royal Lodge Stakes over a mile at Newmarket. A first-crop son of Coolmore Stud stallion Zoffany (by Dansili), the Eyrefield Lodge Stud-bred chesnut is trained by John Gosden. His stakes-placed dam Roystonea (by Polish Precedent) is a half-sister to the mile listed scorers Bermuda Grass (by Danehill) and Bermuda Rye (by Cape Cross).

The Roger Charlton-trained three-year-old is out of Passage Of Time (by Dansili), the Group 1-winning half-sister to Group 1 scorer Timepiece (by Zamindar).

  • Promising Run won the Group 2 Shadwell Rockfel Stakes over seven furlongs at Newmarket, a second win from three starts for the Darley-bred daughter of Jonabell Farm stallion Hard Spun (by Danzig). She is trained by Saeed bin Suroor, she is a half-sister to the Group 3 Lillie Langtry Stakes runner-up Arabian Comet (by Dubawi), and her dam is the Brazilian Grade 1 star Aviacion (by Know Heights).
