Max Flamingo

(F. Casey)

Fairyhouse, November 9th

A useful hurdler, he made great progress from his chasing debut at Listowel to finish third to Gabynako in a smart-looking beginners’ chase last week. This relatively lightly raced six-year-old can certainly progress further as a chaser.

Hypernova

(J.P. O’Brien)

Dundalk, November 10th

He made his debut in a maiden where his stablemate Ultramarine was turned over at long odds-on and ran a solid race to be beaten just over six lengths into third. There should be plenty of progress forthcoming from this outing and a maiden success will be well within his reach.

Harbanaker

(G. Cromwell)

Dundalk, November 10th

A winner of a Leopardstown handicap in May, he came back to form to chase home Akhlaaq in a mile handicap last Wednesday. He has run some solid races on the Polytrack in the past and there was enough to suggest that he could be placed to advantage at some point in the coming weeks.

Presenting Point

(E. O’Grady)

Clonmel, November 11th

This gelding has struggled for form since winning at Tramore just under a year ago but he took a marked step in the right direction when he finished a five-length second to Sunnyvilla in a handicap chase last week.

Brushwork

(J.F. Levins)

Dundalk, November 12th

On his first three starts since coming to Ireland this former Charlie Hills inmate had struggled to make any sort of an impression. However, a switch to Polytrack revived his fortunes dramatically when he chased home Meishar in a sprint handicap last Friday. On this evidence there are more races to be won with this gelding who won three of his first four starts across the water.

Torygraph

(G. Elliott)

Punchestown, November 13th

He was a useful novice hurdler last season when he looked a thorough stayer, and he shaped up well on his chasing debut to finish third to French Dynamite last Saturday. The two-and-a-half-mile trip of this looked a little on the sharp side for him and he can come into his own as he moves up in distance.

De Name Escapes Me

(N. Meade)

Punchestown, November 14th

The 11-year-old followed up quite a decent effort in the November Handicap on the flat with a fourth in last Sunday’s Pertemps Qualifier when he would have been closer but for being hampered at the second last.

It wouldn’t surprise to see him emerge as a contender for next month’s Proudstown Handicap Hurdle at Navan.

Sparkling Stars

(E.C. McCarthy)

Limerick November 16th

He showed up nicely in two maiden hurdles last spring and again offered encouragement on his first run since March when finishing fifth in a maiden hurdle won by It’sallabouteve. There should be more to come from him following this outing and a first success may not be far off.

Oskar High

(N. Lee)

Limerick, November 16th

He was well-beaten in a handicap hurdle won by Lake Chad on Tuesday but did run respectably over a trip well short of his best. He lost his way somewhat after winning his second race of the season at Ballinrobe in September but this run over two miles suggested that he might be working his way back to form.

My Design

(S.P. O’Brien)

Thurles, November 18th

This mare followed up a seventh to Eric Bloodaxe in a Naas maiden hurdle with a three-length third to Humble Glory over just short of three miles on Thursday. There has been promise in each of her four runs so far.

and she looks capable of making her mark before the end of the season.
