TIGGY Wiggy (39) clocked another seriously fast time when setting a scorching pace to win the Lowther Stakes. She’s clearly an unusually good filly. However, I think the six furlongs she ran here is the outermost limits of her stamina. On slower ground and with an uphill finish, I’m not altogether certain she’ll get home in the Cheveley Park. If she were mine I’d be aiming her exclusively at the Abbaye where she could take advantage of a huge weight concession from her elders. The runner-up Cursory Glance (37) is bred for longer and was held up for a late run as the winner blazed away in front. She looked briefly as if she might get to Tiggy Wiggy but then ran around a bit, perhaps because she was seeing so much daylight. She kept on well and will now be stepped up to seven furlongs for the Rockfel Stakes.
