ON his return to racing in the United Arab Emirates, it didn’t take Pat Cosgrave long to resume winning ways with two single successes at Al Ain in less than a week for Musabbeh al Mheiri and a handicap double at Meydan last Saturday and another at Meydan on Thursday.

Al Mheiri supplied the Co Down-born jockey with his first winner on Saturday, Shoreditch who was scoring for the second time in three starts and Cosgrave doubled up on the year older Baroot who is trained by South Africa’s Mike de Kock. Both British-bred horses are by Dubawi.
