ROSS and Barry Geraghty filled the first two places in last Saturday’s American Grand National at Far Hills in New Jersey.
Despite the race title, the two-mile, five-furlong event is run over small fences comparable in size to EasyFix hurdles. The winner was the French-bred Dawalan, an Aga Khan-bred five-year-old by Azamour, who was a useful handicapper for Nicky Henderson last season.
