Third place for Liverpool Grand Prix winner, this time with an Irish Sport Horse at Basel in Switzerland

BILLY Twomey has carried his excellent form at Liverpool International Horse Show to this weekend's five-star show at Basel in Switzerland. The Cork rider has finished third in today's (Friday) 1.45m speed class with Joe Flynn's Irish Sport Horse Ardcolum Duke.

Belgium's Gregory Wathelet took the winners prize with Egano van het Slogenhof, while Britain's Laura Renwick took runner-up spot with Heliodor Hybris. Tipperary's Denis Lynch slotted into seventh place with Zamora.

Elsewhere this weekend, Bertram Allen is in action at Zuidbroek in The Netherlands and Marion Hughes is in Dubai along with Jack O Donoghue.
