CORK’S Billy Twomey and the ageless Tinka’s Serenade scored a win at the five-star show in Dinard, France on Friday, edging out Canadian Olympic gold medalist Eric Lamaze.

Lamaze and the much younger 12 year-old mare Fine Lady S, had set the lead with a scorching time of 71.02 seconds. No other combination came anywhere close to Lamaze’s time until Twomey and the 18 year-old mare shaved a tenth of a second off the Canadian’s score to collect the €15,375 winner prize.
