LAST weekend’s Irish racing schedule had a different look. There was no ‘Super Sunday’ at Tipperary, and instead we had racing at the Curragh on Arc day. That will again be the case next year, as ‘the Junction’ prepares to take on a new role as Ireland’s second all-weather racecourse.
Historically, Tipperary has been a jack-of-all-trades track. A dual-purpose course, it had a bit of everything. In 2025, the last full season there, they hosted 11 meetings, six flat and five National Hunt. Despite a low number of total fixtures, Tipperary managed to race on every day of the week except Saturday.
