ANNSHOON Stud in Mullinavat, Co Kilkenny, has secured a half-brother to popular National Hunt stallions Coastal Path, Reefscape and Martaline from Juddmonte Farms.

The three-year-old Pillar Coral was in training with Sir Michael Stoute but was unraced due to injury.

The son of Zamindar is being aimed at the National Hunt market and his fee has been set at €2,500, with concessions for filly foals.

Michael Shefflin of Annshoon Stud said: “This bloodline is very popular with breeders. I’m expecting the horse to arrive at Annshoon within a week or so.”

Another new three-year-old stallion heading to Annshoon is Koropick, a Group 3 winning son of Kodiac.

He was trained by Hugo Palmer and made a winning debut before finishing second to subsequent Group 1 winner The Last Lion in a Group 3 event. He won the Group 3 Chipchase Stakes at Newcastle this year and also finished second to subsequent Group 1 winner Battaash. His fee has been set at €3,000.

The third new stallion is Silver Galaxy, a son of Galileo who won a Group 3 race at Jebel Ali. His fee is €1,500.
