RACINGER, sire of Sunday’s Grade 3 novice chase winner El Barra, will stand at Annshoon Stud in Mullinavat, Co Kilkenny, next year.

A multiple Group 2 and Group 3 winner, Racinger (by Spectrum) has stood in France for the past 12 years. While he has had plenty of winners in France, his best jumpers to-date have raced in Ireland and Britain.

They include Gordon Elliott’s multiple Grade 2 winner Farouk D’Alene, the Gary Moore-trained Eragon De Chanay (six wins), Amy Murphy’s Barman (seven wins) and Nick Kent’s Fanfan Du Seuil (two wins).

Racinger was acquired for Irish stud duties by well-known stallion man Donal White, in a deal arranged by bloodstock agent Vincent Le Roy. White believes that Racinger is a good outcross for mares from the Sadler’s Wells line.

He is a half-brother to Group 1 winners Corre Caminos and Recital, and is also a half-brother to Magneticjim who stands at Haras De La Haie Neuve in France.

Racinger will stand alongside Donal White’s Night Wish and Saintgodrel at Michael Shefflin’s Annshoon Stud.
