A TOTAL of 487 yearlings have been catalogued for the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale with a further 271 catalogued for Part II.
Graduates of the sale won four classics last year - Galileo Gold, Hawksmoor, Wicklow Brave and Conselice.
Last Sunday's Group 2 winner Unfortunately was also a September Yearling Sale graduate. Already this year, 80 two-year-olds from the 2016 sale have won 100 races.
Proven sires represented in the 2017 catalogue include Dark Angel, Kodiac, Pour Moi, Iffraaj, Invincible Spirit, Acclamation, Exceed And Excel, Teofilo, Sea The Stars, Nathaniel, Society Rock, Havana Gold, Holy Roman Emperor, Red Jazz and Fast Company.
First season stallions with yearlings on offer include Alhebayeb, Australia, Charm Spirit, Kingsbarns, Moohaajim, No Nay Never, Noble Mission, Olympic Glory, Slade Power, Toronado, War Command and Xtension.
Among the leading consignors sending drafts to the sale are Yeomanstown Stud, The Castlebridge Consignment, Baroda & Colbinstown Studs, Manister House Stud, The Irish National Stud, Ballybin Stud, Rathasker Stud, Ballyhane, Cooneen Stud, Ballyhimikin Stud, Mount Coote Stud, Tally-Ho Stud, Monksland Stables, Castledillon Stud, Danesrath Stud, Grove Stud, Grangemore Stud, Redpender Stud, Loughmore Stables and Lynn Lodge Stud.
Last year's catalogue attracted purchasers from 11 different countries which generated the highest turnover for the sale since 2006. The 2017 sale runs from September 19th to 21st.
