IT can be assumed that five of the seven races at Naas last Sunday were hand-timed, given that all winners’ and losers’ times were returned to 1/10th of a second rather the 1/100th which is customary with electronic timing. As a result the win times for those five races need to be retaken and adjusted upwards (to allow for reaction delay) to make them directly comparable.

The winners Making Light (Lodge Park Stud EBF Park Express Stakes) and On The Go Again (Irish Lincolnshire) get credited with useful timefigures of 100 and 101 respectively, and Dianthus (Madrid Handicap) and Pride Of Pimlico (Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden) get fairly useful assessments of 89 and 87 respectively.
