RESIDENT rider at Wexford Equestrian, Taylor Peare was the popular winner of the Seale Transport 1.30m. Riding her father Pat’s Lissyegan Geoffrey, they lodged the winning double clear in a time of 34.60 secs in the two-phase class.

Second place was filled by Linda Murphy with the Susan Fitzpatrick-owned Castle Howard MRF Tiffin, clear in 37.21. Slotting into third place was Mark Cleary and Lisa O’Farrell’s Royal News, clear in 37.29, ahead of Gemma Phelan who was riding the Baden Powell-owned Curraghgraigue Prophess Two, clear in 37.72.

Phelan also took fifth place with Limestone Uno, clear in 38.92, while in sixth was Katie Doyle and Keldin, clear in 39.79.

Win for Beecher

Leading the victory lap in the 1.20m TRI Equestrian-sponsored class was Paul Beecher who was riding Melissa Buttimer’s Danio VB Z, clear in 31.06. Less than a second behind was Gillian Bond and Vicomte DH Z, clear in 32.04.

Junior rider Katie Doyle also featured in this line-up taking third with Heldin, clear in 32.84, while in fourth was Michelle Lana Hughes with Captain Jackson, clear in 35.82. Fifth place belonged to Maisie Adams and Jatendra, clear in 38.33, while in sixth place was Paddy O’Donnell and Tommy Kay, clear in 38.39.

Doyle does it again

Winner of the MK Sport Horses and Paddy O’Donnell-sponsored class was amateur rider Lisa Doyle (AA) who partnered the reliable Corland’s Clipper to a clear in 30.82. Paul Beecher took the runner-up spot with Mj Dufresne when he maintained a clean sheet in 33.32, ahead of Jamie Landers and Genesis, clear in 33.52.

Fourth place was occupied by Paddy O’Donnell and Thomson Sport Horses’ Harlequin Duke (34.84), while in fifth was Sunnibhe Stassin and RNH Factor One (35.26). Local rider Patrick Byrne took sixth place with his own four-year-old Belline Castle Onr Candy (35.75).
