THERE was a good turn out for the Aloga Auction five and six-year-old Championship at Bannow and Rathangan, which was sponsored by the Allen family. In total 66 went to post with 17 delivering double clears.

Taking the win was Waterford’s Paul Beecher with Brogagh Darcy when they came home in a time of 36.50 seocnds. Owned by Paul’s wife Seryna Van Kuelen, the six-year-old mare is by Dakar and out of the Warrenstown WE 3-sired Brocka Cruising Lucy. The combination claimed fourth place in the HSI Studbook Series qualifier at National Balmoral. They also took the win in this series at Cork Summer Show.
