GALWAY Equestrian played host to the third round of the DAFM Studbook Show jumping Series with 174 combinations declared to jump over the three divisions. In the seven-year-old class, 34 went to post in a bid to claim the €3,480 on offer.

Taking the win was Max Foley and HHS Sir Loui, when they were fastest of 10 double clears in a time of 28.95 seconds. Owned by Bravo Hughes and bred by Michael Keane, the gelding is by Luidam and is out of the VDL Arnaskas-sired dam, One Ders. The pairing claimed sixth place in the 1.30m seven-year-old Hibernia Sport Horse league in CoilÓg in April.

It was a competitive class, with 13 combinations booking their place against the clock. Brendan Murphy and Abs Misty came home clear less than a second behind the winner in a time of 29.84. Owned and bred by Sean Mulkern, the mare is by Tyson and is out of the Clover Brigade- sired Minnie Clover.

Tadhg Beecher left nothing to spare with Loughnatousa Buckley, delivering a clear in 30.64 for third place. Owned by Tim Beecher and bred by Michael Buckley, the gelding is by Chacoon Blue and is out of Cornascriebe Cardiamond.

Sophie Richards also came home with a clean sheet with Monbeg Balou, but in a slower time of 33.04 for eventual fourth. Owned by Maurice Cousins and bred by Brendan Doyle, the gelding is by Balou du Rouet and is out of the Zacharov TN- sired dam, ESI Balou.

A clear from Gemma Phelan and her own ESI Nixon in 33.89 saw them claim fifth place.

Completing the top six was Richard Kerins and Rsk Quality Cruise, clear in 35.25. This gelding was bred by Ennisnag Stud and is by Dakar VDL and is out of the Simba-sired dam, ESI Sofia. This combination finished seventh in the round at Tipperary.

Five and six-year-olds

In the six-year-old division, 26 of the 65 starters delivered double clears to divide the €2,400 prize fund.

In the five-year-old division, 41 of the 67 starters delivered double clears to divide the €2,200 prize fund.
