At the 2018 Longines FEI European Youth Championships in France, he was crowned European Under-18 (Junior) Show Jumping champion after a sensational performance on board the Irish Sport Horse Castlefield Vegas. The result came just days after he was part of the Gain Equine Nutrition Irish U18 team that won the European Championship bronze medal under manager James Kernan.
