IRELAND’s show jumping team manager Michael Blake has named his four team members for tomorrow’s (Sunday) five-star Longines FEI Nations Cup of Poland in Sopot, which is Ireland’s first points-scoring round of the 2022 season in Europe Division 1 and will be shown live on RTE TV.

Ireland have been drawn fifth to jump of the eight teams that take part and line out as follows:

Tipperary’s Denis Lynch with Brooklyn Heights – owned by Molly Ohrstrom

Tipperary’s Trevor Breen with Highland President – owned by Heather Black

Louth’s Mark McAuley with Django Ste Hermelle – owned by SNC McAuley

Offaly’s Darragh Kenny with Volnay Du Boisdeville – owned by Teddy Vlock

The home team from Poland will be first to enter the arena, followed by Norway, Switzerland, Sweden, Ireland, France, Germany and Denmark.

Irish riders have already been among the prizes in Sopot, with Denis Lynch and GC Chopin’s Bushi taking victory in this morning’s 1.45m speed class. Darragh Kenny finished third with Nobel vd Bisschop, while Kilkenny’s Jack Ryan took sixth place with Carramba L Z.

Sunday’s Longines FEI Nations Cup of Poland in Sopot gets underway at 11am Irish time with the entire second round to be broadcast live on the RTÉ News Channel starting from 1pm Irish time and finishing at 3pm.
