Courses combine hands-on and practical experience with a variety of horses, while under the guidance of experienced industry teachers to help you build confidence, competency and real-world readiness, ensuring that all graduates leave prepared for a wide range of exciting career pathways.

Nestled in the heart of Thomastown, the Equestrian Campus provides courses at Level 5 and 6 in Horsemanship. These campus is recognised as one of Ireland’s longest leading training hubs for aspiring equine professionals.

With its supportive, community-driven atmosphere, students learn the necessary skills and competencies in a specialised campus and participate with other students, who share their passion for horses.

Throughout your time with the College of FET, Kilkenny Equestrian Campus, you will work and care for the horses, while managing responsibilities in running the yard. The course provides you with rounded education with a strong focus on preparing for the British Horse Society exams.

With the exciting announcement of a new build, a state-of-the-art teaching facility is being developed by KCETB, giving students the perfect launchpad into a thriving career in the horse industry. The new build includes classrooms, canteens, changing/showering room, comms room, tack rooms and more.
