THE top-priced filly foal on offer was a daughter of the elite French-based sire No Risk At All who cost Paul Murphy €82,000.

This filly is the first produce of the talented Willie Mullins inmate Shanning who was placed at Grade 2 level on several occasions as well as being a half-sister to the champion trainer’s outstanding chaser Allaho.

Murphy bought the filly on behalf of a client of his brother-in-law Guy Petit and reported that the filly would be heading to France where she will race before being retained for breeding.

Grand National-winning rider David Mullins also secured one of the best fillies on offer when he paid €70,000 for a daughter of Sholokhov from Sunnyhill Stud. This filly is a half-sister to the four-time Grade 1 hero Champ and comes from the immediate family of the triple Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Best Mate. Mullins was acting for an Irish-based client who will keep this filly to race.

Peter Molony secured several quality fillies for resale and these were headed by a €70,000 daughter of Walk In The Park from the family of Make A Stand. Molony also gave €68,000 for a Quill Farm-owned daughter of Walk In The Park whose dam, Candy Creek, won the listed mares’ bumper at Aintree.

Meanwhile, Timmy Hillman spent €67,000 on a Crystal Ocean filly from Coolmara Stables. This half-sister to the smart The West Awaits is out of Lonesome Dove who numbers the likes of Wrath Of Titans and Thunder And Roses amongst her siblings.
