FOLLOWING a strong yearling sales season, pinhookers and end-users are expected to descend on Goffs this week for the four-day November Foal Sale which starts on Monday. Just over 1,000 foals will be on offer.

Choice lots include a Kingman half-brother to champion two-year-old and Moyglare Stud Stakes winner Skitter Scatter, a Teofilo half-sister to 2000 Guineas and three-time Group 1 winner Dawn Approach, a Churchill brother to Irish St Leger winner Sonnyboyliston, and an own-brother to German Derby winner Sea The Moon whose half-sister topped last year’s Goffs November Foal Sale.

Another outstanding Sea The Stars foal catalogued is the own-brother to Irish and Yorkshire Oaks winner Sea Of Class.

Also among the highlights are an own-brother to Grade 1 Natalma Stakes winner La Pelosa, a Kingman half-brother to Orby sale-topper and recent stakes winner Zanbaq, and a pair of Wootton Bassett foals that include a half-brother to John and Thady Gosden’s hugely exciting juvenile Arrest, who was purchased by Juddmonte at the November Foal Sale, and a half-sister to multiple Group 2 winner and Group 1 placed Terebellum.

A half-brother to Group 1 Prix Marcel Boussac second Gan Teorainn by Inns Of Court is also catalogued, while other standouts are a three-parts brother to four-time Group 1 winner Blue Point by Earthlight and a Kodiac colt whose blacktype siblings include Group 3 winner Vadream.

The world’s best racehorse of 2020 Ghaiyyath topped the November Sale as a foal when bought by Godolphin, and his first crop of foals at Goffs this year include a half-sister to the dam of Group 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf winner Line Of Duty and a half-sister to the champion sprinter Suesa.

Other exciting new sires with their first foals on offer in November are Arizona, Circus Maximus, Earthlight, Far Above, Hello Youmzain, Kameko, King Of Change, Mohaather, Persian King, River Boyne, Royal Lytham, Sands Of Mali, Sergei Prokofiev, Shaman, Sottsass, Without Parole and Wooded.

The sale will follow the same format as 2021, with foals catalogued alphabetically by dam each day from Monday to Thursday inclusive. Monday and Thursday are billed as equal,Tuesday will raise the bar to an extent, and Wednesday will feature the most blacktype pedigrees.
