Horse Sport Ireland's high performance manager, Robert Splaine, has announced the squad that will represent Ireland at the British Nations Cup that takes place on Friday 29th July at 14.15GMT. Splaine will name the team of four from the squad of five tomorrow (Thursday) evening.

The squad in alphabetical order is:

  • Bertram Allen & Molly Malone owned by Ballywalter Farms
  • Shane Breen & Golden Hawk owned by P. Sultan & Breen Equestrian Ltd. & Shane Breen
  • Anthony Condon & Aristio owned Anthony Condon and John Hales
  • Paul Kennedy & Carton Danger Mouse owned by Jane Kennedy
  • Billy Twomey & Diaghilev owned by Mr C T Payne

    • Hickstead CSIO 5* is part of Furusiyya Nations Cup League, in which Ireland currently lies in second place. However Ireland will not be competing for points at this event.

    After Ireland’s runner up position at Dublin Horse Show last Friday, Ireland has guaranteed its place in the Furusiyya Nations Cup final in Barcelona in September and have also confirmed their position among the top tier of World show jumping again for 2017.
