The final set of Cheltenham entries were revealed on Tuesday with the Weatherbys Champion Bumper (In Memory of Sir Johnny Weatherby) attracting 36 entries, 19 of them trained in Irish stables.

First run in 1992, Willie Mullins has won the race 14 times including six of the last eight.

He has seven entries this time, current favourite Love Sign d'Aunou, The Irish Avatar, Our Trigger, Quiryn, Heldam, The Wager and Maximillian Lady. Christmas winner Bentraghhill is not among the entries.

Gordon Elliott won it in 2017 and 2019 and has a strong team of young horses and his five are led by Gigginstown House Stud’s Leopardstown Christmas winner Keep Him Company along with the DRF winner Broadway Ted.

Irish stables also represented in the entries are Noel Meade with Christmas winner The Mourne Rambler, Gavin Cromwell with Boycetown and Outofafrika, Paul Hennessy with Limerick winner Of Land And Sea, Tony Martin’s Oh My Word and Martin Hassett with Moonverrin and It's Only A Game for Martin Brassil. Dan Skelton is the leading British trainer with four entered.

There are 35 entries for the Champion Hunter Chase including 14 Irish-trained.

Last year’s winner, Sam Curling’s Wonderwall heads the list again, led by the next five who chased him home, Its On The Line, Willitgoahead, Music Drive and Carnfunnock, Stuart Crawford and New additions come in the shape of Martin Brassil’s favourite, Naas winner Panda Boy, Gordon Elliott’s Chemical Energy and in Britain, Stattler a recent Fakenham for Faye Bramley, ridden by Patrick Mullins.
