SUN Goddess shone stronger than ever at Keeneland on Friday evening when she justified odds-on favouritism in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf for Coolmore, Aidan O'Brien and Ryan Moore.
Sent off the 4/5 favourite, the brilliant filly was trying the one-mile trip for the first time in her eight-race season, having already won Group 1 races over six and seven furlongs in Europe.
Moore had Sun Goddess prominent from an early stage, just behind the front-running Seneca Park. Sent to the front early in the straight, Sun Goddess steadily drew away to win by about four lengths from Joseph O'Brien's Green Empress, who just edged out Johnny Murtagh's Curracloe for second place.
Aidan O'Brien said: "She's an amazing filly, her athleticism, her mind, the way she moves. Ryan rode her very forward, uncomplicated. She's by Sioux Nation, who is probably the most underrated stallion in the world."
A VERY special filly! ??

O'Brien and Moore completed a double later in the day when Haffner won the Juvenile Turf. It was O'Brien's fifth consecutive win in the race and his ninth overall.
Moore was originally due to ride Great Barrier Reef in this race and switched to Haffner when his original intended mount was scratched following a pre-race veterinary inspection.
Haffner was sent off the 7/2 second favourite and, like Sun Goddess, was always racing prominently, just beside French hope Avec Toi. Haffner took a while to get past Avec Toi but when he hit the front inside the final furlong he stayed on strongly to hold off the fast-finishing Folsom Blues, trained by Joseph O'Brien, by two lengths. Avec Toi was a further head away in third.
Another peach of a ride from Ryan Moore! ??

Earlier on the card, Libertango gave a boost to the form of Sun Goddess when pouncing late under Billy Loughnane to win the Juvenile Turf Sprint. The George Boughey-trained filly is the only horse to have ever beaten Sun Goddess, doing so in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Libertango was a strong favourite for the Juvenile Turf Sprint but looked in a bit of trouble when she had her progress interrupted about three furlongs from home.
Turning into the home straight, Libertango was still fully six lengths off the leader Ruiva but she quickened impressively to lead with less than 100 yards to go, winning by a length and a half from the Adrian Keatley-trained Hell Of A Spin. Mussab, trained by Richard and Peter Fahey, was third.
What a season for @loughnane_billy - drafted in at the 11th hour and the champ does the honours on the brilliant Libertango in the @BreedersCup Juvenile Turf Sprint!
