COLIN Keane enjoyed two winners at the ICF, but will have been reflecting on what might have been after his ride on Purview, writes Andy Stephens. Finishing a staying-on third behind winner Arabian Crown in the Kilternan Stakes, the sectionals confirmed the contest did not get to the bottom of Purview.

James Doyle set a succession of par furlongs on the front-running winner, but then dabbed on the brakes between furlongs six to nine, before speeding up again. The Time Index of 7.4, when the meeting average was 8.1, reflected the start-stop nature of the race.
