CONGRATULATIONS to Jack Ryan who had an unequalled show at the Pony Owners and Young Riders Charity Show in Millstreet collecting no less than five wins and nine placings.

He got off to a flying start on day one of the bumper show when taking the top three spots in the Children on Horses 1.20m class coming first on Niamh Burke’s Harlequin Beauty, second on Annmarie Fagan’s Pocahontas and third with Eddie Moloney’s GVS Captain. He also claimed the top spot in the 1.10m on Pocahontas. On the Saturday, Ryan’s winning streak continued in both the Young Rider 1.20m and 1.30m with Pocahontas and Cavalier Teaca and he was second in the 1.10m with Pocahontas. Sunday’s class saw the 13-year-old rider win the Children on Horses Grand Prix on the ever consistent coloured mare Pocahontas and also took third place with Harlequin Beauty. Pocahontas also took second place in the hotly contested 1.20m final in the international outdoor arena when piped at the post by Jessica Burke riding Castle Lawn Splendid.
