THE triple Group 1 winner, Perfect Power, was the star of Ardad's first crop and is now set to head from Richard Fahey's North Yorkshire stables to Darley's Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket in order to represent his sire at stud.

The colt's most notable achievement was becoming the fastest horse to win three Group 1's over six furlongs in 20 years, these being the Prix Morny, the Middle Park and the Commonwealth Cup.

Perfect Power's potential was evident from an early stage of his career and he became the highest priced two-year-old by Ardad to sell at last year's Breeze-up sales. A successful pinhooking purchase from Tally Ho Stud, he was snapped up for 16,000gns as a yearling at Book 2 and sold six months later to Blanford Bloodstock for £110,000.

Christophe Soumillon was aboard Perfect Power for seven of his 12 races and described him as nothing short of a machine, "He gave me a great turn of foot, like all the great champions. This horse is a machine."

Perfect Power does not yet have an announced covering fee as of yet but he does look to be an exciting prospect for breeders in the future.
