International Group/Grade 1 four-timer for Galileo; additional Group 1 success for Cape Cross, Danehill Dancer, Motivator, Siyouni, and War Front

SUNDAY

  • Mondialiste completed a remarkable international Group/Grade 1 four-timer for Coolmore Stud stallion Galileo (by Sadler's Wells) when taking the Grade 1 Ricoh Woodbine Mile Stakes in Canada. The multiple champion sire also struck this weekend with Group 1 wins for Order Of St George, Minding, and Bondi Beach.

    Mondialiste was bred by the Wertheimer brothers, he is trained by David O'Meara, and he is out of the Group 1 scorer Occupandiste (by Kaldoun). He is a half-brother to the pattern scorers Impressionnante (by Danehill) and Only Answer (by Green Desert), and it is the famous family of Group 1 stars such as Dubai Millennium (by Seeking The Gold), Elnadim (by Danzig), and Methaaf (by Nureyev).

  • Dual Group 1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe heroine Treve ran away with the Group 1 Qatar Prix Vermeille over 12 furlongs on very soft ground at Longchamp, a sixth win at the highest level for the remarkable mare. Bred by Haras du Quesnay and trained by Criquette Head-Maarek, the daughter of Haras du Quesnay stallion Motivator (by Montjeu) is out of Trevise (by Anabaa). She comes from the famous family of Group 1 stars such as Trillion (by Hail To Reason), Triptych (by Riverman), Generous (by Caerleon), Imagine (by Sadler's Wells), and Moonlight Cloud (by Invincible Spirit).

  • Ervedya won the Group 1 Qatar Prix du Moulin de Longchamp over a mile at Longchamp, a third win at the highest level for the Aga Khan's homebred three-year-old. Trained by Jean-Claude Rouget, the first-crop daughter of Haras de Bonneval stallion Siyouni (by Pivotal) is out of Elva (by King's Best), and the Group 1 horses in her family include Erdelistan (by Lashkari).

  • Order Of St George ran away with the Group 1 Palmerstown House Estate Irish St Leger over 14 furlongs at the Curragh, a third wide-margin victory in a row for the Aidan O'Brien-trained three-year-old. The Galileo (by Sadler's Wells) colt was bred by Paget Bloodstock, he is a half-brother to the pattern scorers Asperity (by War Chant) and Angel Terrace (by Ghostzapper), and his dam Another Storm (by Gone West) is out of the US Champion and multiple Grade 1 star Storm Song (by Summer Squall).

  • Air Force Blue is now a dual Group 1 scorer following his victory in the Goffs Vincent O'Brien National Stakes over seven furlongs at the Curragh. The Aidan O'Brien-trained son of Claiborne Farm stallion War Front (by Danzig) was bred by Stone Farm. His dam Chatham (by Maria's Mon) is out of an unraced full-sister to the US champion and multiple Grade 1 star Flanders (by Seeking The Gold).

  • Minding won the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes over seven furlongs at the Curragh, reversing the placings with Ballydoyle who beat her in the Group 2 Debutante Stakes on their previous start. The Aidan O'Brien-trained juvenile is a daughter of the multiple champion sire Galileo (by Sadler's Wells), and she was bred by the partnership of Orpendale, Chelston & Wynatt. She is the second foal out of the dual mile Group 1 scorer Lillie Langtry (by Danehill Dancer) and she is a full-sister to the Group 3 scorer Kissed By Angels.

  • Multiple Group 1 star Sole Power won the Group 2 Derrinstown Stud Flying Five Stakes over five furlongs at the Curragh. The Geoff Russell-bred eight-year-old is a gelded son of Cheveley Park Stud stallion Kyllachy (by Pivotal) and he is trained by Eddie Lynam. His dam Demerger (by Distant View) comes from the immediate family of the Group/Grade 2 scorers Auction House (by Exbourne) and Tychonic (by Last Tycoon).

  • Ribbons won the Group 2 Moyglare 'Jewels' Blandford Stakes over 10 furlongs at the Curragh, a second pattern success for last year's Group 1 scorer. Elite Racing Club's homebred five-year-old is trained by James Fanshawe and she is a daughter of the Haras du Logis stallion Manduro (by Monsun). Her dam Sister Act (by Marju) is a winning full-sister to the multiple Group 1 star Soviet Song.

  • Classic star New Bay was an impressive winner of the Group 2 Qatar Prix Niel over 12 furlongs on very soft ground at Longchamp. It is a fourth win from six starts for the Juddmonte Farms homebred, a three-year-old trained by Andre Fabre. The son of Dalham Hall Stud super-sire Dubawi (by Dubai Millennium) is out of Cinnamon Bay (by Zamindar), a stakes winner from the immediate family of Group 1 stars such as Wemyss Bight (by Dancing Brave), Beat Hollow (by Sadler's Wells), Oasis Dream (by Green Desert), Zenda (by Zamindar), and Kingman (by Invincible Spirit).

  • Postponed won the Group 2 Qatar Prix Foy over 12 furlongs on very soft ground at Longchamp, a third pattern success for the Group 1-winning son of Dalham Hall Stud ace Dubawi (by Dubai Millennium). Bred by St Albans Bloodstock Llp and trained by Luca Cumani, the four-year-old is out of Ever Rigg (by Dubai Destination), a daughter of the juvenile Group 1 scorer Bianca Nera (by Salse). This is the family of the Group 1 winning miler Simply Perfect (by Danehill) and of Saturday's Group 1 St Leger winner Bondi Beach (by Galileo).

  • Move In Time won the Group 3 Qatar Prix du Petit Couvert over five furlongs at Longchamp, the nine win from 44 starts for last year's Group 1 scorer. The David O'Meara-trained seven-year-old is a gelded son of Norton Grove Stud stallion Monsieur Bond (by Danehill Dancer), and he was bred by the Bond Thoroughbred Corporation. He is the best of several winners out of Tibesti (by Machiavellian), who is a full-sister to the dual Group 3 scorer Tropical Star, and their dam Tropical (by Green Desert) is a pattern-winning half-sister to the classic-placed Group 1 Coronation Stakes heroine Shake The Yoke (by Caerleon).

  • Fly With Me won the Group 3 Qatar Prix Gladiateur over 15 and a half furlongs on very soft ground at Longchamp, a second pattern success for the five-year-old son of Ballylinch Stud stallion Beat Hollow (by Sadler's Wells). He was bred by Scea Haras de la Barbotiere, he is trained by Eric Libaud, and his stakes-placed dam Bird Of Paradise (by Highest Honor) comes from the family of the high-class chaser Rajdhani Express (by Presenting).

  • Pas De Deux won the Group 3 Honda – Grosse Europa Meile at Munich, a second pattern success for Dirk Von Mitzlaff's homebred five-year-old. Trained by Yasmin Almenrader, he is a son of the dual Group 1 scorer Saddex (by Sadler's Wells) and his dam Palucca (by Big Shuffle) is out of the Group 2 Preis der Diana (German Oaks) winner Puntilla (by Acatenango).

  • Golden Horn won the Group 1 Qipco Irish Champion Stakes over 10 furlongs at Leopardstown, a third win at the highest level for this year's probable champion three-year-old. The classic-winning son of Kildangan Stud stallion Cape Cross (by Green Desert) is trained by John Gosden and he was bred by Hascombe and Valiant Studs. His dam Fleche D'Or (by Dubai Destination) is a half-sister to the mile Group 1 winner Rebecca Sharp (by Machiavellian).

  • Bondi Beach was awarded the Group 1 Ladbrokes St Leger Stakes (British Champions Series) over the extended 14 and a half furlongs at Doncaster, giving the multiple champion sire Galileo (by Sadler's Wells) another classic success. The Aidan O'Brien-trained three-year-old was bred by the One Moment In Time Syndicate. His dam One Moment In Time (by Danehill) is an unraced full-sister to the Group 1 winner Simply Perfect, and so is related to Group 1 stars such as Bianca Nera (by Salse) and Postponed (by Dubawi).

  • Legatissimo won the Group 1 Coolmore Fastnet Rock Matron Stakes over a mile at Leopardstown, a third win at the highest level for the daughter of Danehill Dancer (by Danehill). The David Wachman-trained three-year-old was bred by Newsells Park Stud and her dam, Yummy Mummy (by Montjeu), is a full-sister to the Group 1 Irish Derby and Group 1 Gold Cup hero Fame And Glory.

  • Limato was an impressive winner of the Group 2 Saint Gobain Weber Park Stakes over seven furlongs at Doncaster, a first attempt at the trip for the gelded son of Rathbarry Stud stallion Tagula (by Taufan). The Henry Candy-trained three-year-old was bred by Seamus Phelan, he is a £41,000 Doncaster Sales graduate, and his dam Come April (by Singspiel) comes from the immediate family of the Group 1 stars Compton Admiral (by Suave Dancer), Summoner (by Inchinor), and The Fugue (by Dansili).

  • Emotionless retained his unbeaten record with a very easy win in the Group 2 At The Races Champagne Stakes over seven furlongs at Doncaster. The Darley-bred juvenile is trained by Charlie Appleby, he is a son of Kildangan Stud stallion Shamardal (by Giant's Causeway), he is a half-brother to the pattern winners Etched (by Forestry) and Out Of Bounds (by Discreet), and his dam is the US Grade 1 star Unbridled Elaine (by Unbridled's Song).

  • Custom Cut won the Group 2 Clipper Logistics Boomerang Stakes over a mile at Leopardstown, his third win at that level and his sixth pattern success overall. The David O'Meara-trained six-year-old was bred by Moyglare Stud Farm, he is a son of the Knockhouse Stud stallion Notnowcato (by Inchinor), and he is out of Polished Gem (by Danehill).   • Johannes Vermeer won the Group 3 Willis Champions Juvenile Stakes over a mile at Leopardstown, a second win in three starts for the Aidan O'Brien-trained son of Galileo (by Sadler's Wells). He was bred by Desert Star Phoenix Jvc, he is a €300,000 Goffs Orby Sale graduate, and he is the first foal out of Inca Princess (by Holy Roman Emperor). His grandam, Group 2 scorer Miletrian (by Marju), comes from the family of the dual Derby hero and influential sire Shirley Heights (by Mill Reef).

  • Fascinating Rock was an easy winner of the Group 3 KPMG Enterprise Stakes over 12 furlongs at Leopardstown, a fourth pattern success for the Group 1-placed son of Fastnet Rock (by Danehill). Newtown Anner Stud's homebred four-year-old is trained by Dermot Weld, he is out of Miss Polaris (by Polar Falcon) and he comes from the immediate family of the high-class Gothenberg (by Polish Patriot).

She is a half-sister to the pattern-placed stakes winner Beyond Thankful (by Whipper) and her dam Beyond Compare (by Galileo) comes from the immediate family of the Group 1 stars Goldikova (by Anabaa) and Gold Splash (by Blushing Groom).

  • Pallasator won the Group 2 Socialites E-Cigarettes Expert Doncaster Cup (British Champions Series) over two and a quarter miles, a first pattern success for the gelded son of Derby hero and Haras du Quesnay stallion Motivator (by Montjeu). The Sir Mark Prescott-trained six-year-old was bred by Newsells Park Stud, he is a half-brother to the stakes-placed Elas Diamond (by Danehill Dancer) and his dam is the multiple Group/Grade 1-placed Group 3 scorer Ela Athena (by Ezzoud).

  • Gutaifan narrowly won the Group 2 Fly Aer Lingus From Doncaster Sheffield Flying Childers Stakes over five furlongs at Doncaster, a second win at that level for the Group 1-placed son of Morristown Lattin Stud stallion Dark Angel (by Acclamation). The grey is trained by Richard Hannon, he was bred by Eimear Mulhern and Abbeville Stud, and his dam Alikhlas (by Lahib) is a winning half-sister to the Group 2-placed middle-distance stakes winner Sahool (by Unfuwain).   • Gretchen won the Group 2 DFS Park Hill Stakes over the extended 14 and a half furlongs at Doncaster, a third win from five starts for Normandie Stud's homebred chesnut and her second blacktype success. The John Gosden-trained three-year-old is by the multiple champion sire Galileo (by Sadler's Wells), she is out of Dolores (by Danehill), and so is a half-sister to the Group 1 scorer Duncan (by Dalakhani) and the the Group 2-winning stayer Samuel (by Sakhee).

  • Realtra won the Group 3 Japan Racing Association Sceptre Stakes over seven furlongs at Doncaster, a second blacktype success for the daughter of Morristown Lattin Stud stallion Dark Angel (by Acclamation) and her first at pattern level. The Roger Varian-trained three-year-old was bred by Tom and Geraldine Molan, she was a €10,000 foal in Fairyhouse and made £290,000 at the Goffs London Sale in June. Her dam Devious Diva (by Dr Devious) is a half-sister to the Hong Kong blacktype scorer Supreme Rabbit (by Definite Article), who won four times in Ireland as Dawn Approach.
