Western Hymn got up on the line to pip Arab Spring in the Group 3 Cantor Fitzgerald Research Brigadier Gerard Stakes over 10 furlongs at Sandown, a fourth pattern success for the John Gosden-trained gelding.

The four-year-old was bred by Newsells Park Stud, he is a son of the late High Chaparral (by Sadler's Wells) and his dam Blue Rhapsody (by Cape Cross) is a winning half-sister to the pattern scorers Fantasia (by Sadler's Wells) and Pink Symphony (by Montjeu). Vent De Force won the Group 3 Cantor Fitzgerald Investment Trusts Henry II Stakes over an extended two miles at Sandown, a first pattern success for the Hughie Morrison-trained four-year-old. The colt was bred by Deepwood Farm Stud, he is a son of the Gestut Ammerland stallion Hurricane Run (by Montjeu), and he is the best of several winners out of Capriolla (by In The Wings). His dam is a half-sister to the Group 3 scorer Saddler's Quest (by Saddlers' Hall), to the listed winner Seren Hill (by Sabrehill) and to the triple listed heroine Quiz Mistress (by Doyen).

King Of Rooks was an impressive winner of the Listed Cantor Fitzgerald Debt Capital Markets National Stakes over five furlongs at Sandown, a second win from three starts for the Richard Hannon-trained son of Rathbarry Stud stallion Acclamation (by Royal Applause). He was bred by Azienda Agricola Valle Falcone Srl and his pattern-winning dam Slap Shot (by Lycius) was beaten a nose in the Group 1 Prix de l'Abbaye de Longchamp in 2002.

Consort maintained his unbeaten record with an eye-catching win in the Listed Cantor Fitzgerald Corporate Finance Heron Stakes over a mile at Sandown. The grey is a first-crop son of Ballylinch Stud's exciting young sire Lope De Vega (by Shamardal), he is trained by Sir Michael Stoute, and he was bred Old Long Hill Ballinteskin Stud Ltd.

The Group 1-entered three-year-old is out of Mundus Novus (by Unbridled's Song), who is a winning half-sister to the US Grade 2 scorer Surya (by Unbridled), and the Group/Grade 1 stars in his family include Dawn Approach (by New Approach), Kitwood (by Nureyev), Magic Of Life (by Seattle Slew), Aruna (by Mr Greeley), Sabin (by Lyphard), and Miss Oceana (by Alydar).
