STATE Man and Galopin Des Champs are just two of the big names expected to reappear at Punchestown next weekend for the new-look Winter Festival at the track.

Saturday’s feature is the Grade 1 Unibet Morgiana Hurdle and on Sunday there’s the Grade 1 John Durkan Memorial Chase. It’s the first time these two races have been brought together, the aim being to make the Durkan Chase more attractive for horses who have Christmas targets.

Punchestown is putting on plenty of additonal entertainment for families, such as a shopping village, live music, festive food, children’s activities and, of course, an early appearance from Santa. There’s a free shuttle bus service from Naas and a direct bus service from Dublin’s quays with Marathon Travel.

We’ve got four pairs of tickets for Durkan Day to give away to Parrot Mouth readers. To be in with a chance of winning tickets, email the answer to the question below to fieldcomp@theirishfield.ie by noon on Tuesday, November 21st. Only one entry per email permitted. Remember to include your name and contact telephone number.
