YOU only have until May 29th to visit Helen Costello’s first solo exhibition Seen Unseen at Nenagh Arts Centre. The show has been running since the start of the month when it was opened by Charlie and Carol Swan.

In 2019, at the age of 58, Helen graduated from the Limerick School of Art and Design with an honours degree, specialising in ceramics. After a lifetime spent relief milking, breeding Welsh ponies and rehabilitating injured horses, she found that telling stories through the medium of clay had become her new passion.

Her life spent in agriculture, primarily with cows and horses, inspire her sculptural work. Based in Cloughjordan, she received the Gallery Zozimus prize in 2018. You can see more of her work on Instagram @helencostelloceramics
