THE Undertones have been added to the bill for this summer’s series of Bulmers Live nights at Leopardstown.

Staged over eight Thursday evenings between June and August, the after-racing concerts have steadily grown in popularity with racegoers and the new faces undoubtedly add a bit of atmosphere to the fixtures.

In a separate development, queuing for a drink at Leopardstown will be a thing of the past if you’re handy with your phone.

The Dublin track and its catering partner Fitzers have teamed up with start-up company Skippio which has developed an app allowing you to order your drinks from anywhere on the racecourse.

Racegoers will be notified when their order is ready for collection.

Skippio’s latest version of the app will launch at Leopardstown in time for the first of the Bulmers Live gigs on June 8th.

Dan Coen started the company last year and worked with Leopardstown at the Dublin Racing Festival and Leopardstown’s student day with great customer feedback. The company is also sponsoring a race on June 8th.

Tim Husbands, CEO of Leopardstown, said: “There is a huge drive and ambition within the small team at Skippio, and we are proud to be partnering with them at the start of a hugely exciting journey for this leading Irish start-up.

“Leopardstown are committed to supporting emerging businesses and are focused on improving customer service and believe that Skippio can assist in this extremely important objective”.

Barry Storey, managing director of Fitzers, added: “Skippio demonstrates the ambition and marketplace opportunity to use technology in a way that is customer focused, user friendly and sales driven. We are delighted to be working with Daniel and his company to bring this technology to Leopardstown and Fitzers Catering.”
