SHIRLEY Anderson-Jolag has been appointed to the role of UK Client Relations for Tattersalls Ireland.

In addition, she will continue to promote Tattersalls sales at both Cheltenham and Ascot.

Having joined the Tattersalls group seven years ago, Anderson-Jolag has played a key role in developing and promoting Tattersalls sales at Cheltenham, Ascot and also Park Paddocks, with particular emphasis on the launch of last year’s widely acclaimed inaugural Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale.

In her new Tattersalls Ireland role Shirley will be working in tandem with the Fairyhouse-based client relations and bloodstock sales teams in promoting Tattersalls Ireland sales, both National Hunt and flat, to new and existing British buyers and vendors, with a particular emphasis on the flagship Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale and the September Yearling Sale.

Tattersalls Ireland CEO Simon Kerins said: “Shirley is a great addition to the Tattersalls Ireland team and will be working alongside Niamh Spiller.

She has built up a huge network of contacts in the UK during her seven years with the Tattersalls group, and her deep understanding of both the National Hunt and flat spheres makes her perfectly suited to promoting the varied portfolio of Tattersalls Ireland sales to purchasers and vendors in our largest overseas market.

“Shirley’s new role follows the recent appointment of Orla McKenna as Head of Bloodstock, as well as Christopher Farrell and Barry O’Neill joining the Tattersalls Ireland team as Flat Sales Executive and Bloodstock Representative and Inspector respectively.

“We began 2022 with a record-breaking February NH Sale and the new appointments reflect Tattersalls Ireland’s determination to build on recent success and to establishing a young, vibrant team committed to every facet of the Irish thoroughbred industry.”

Anderson-Jolag said: “My new role as UK Client Liaison for Tattersalls Ireland is, in so many ways, the perfect and logical progression after seven years.”
