William Micklem loses Jackaroo

WILLIAM Micklem lost his 16-year-old stallion Jackaroo to an injury this week. The 2007 stallion by Master Imp was out of High Dolly (Chair Lift) and a full sibling to Olympic performers Mandiba and High Kingdom. “A deteriorating situation with a damage foreleg gave us no other option,” Micklem shared on social media. “To say he was loved would be an understatement. He was just two days old when Cormac Hassett MRCVS carried him away from his dead mother, but he survived to become a favourite with all he came into contact with.

“A special thanks to Gina McCann for her gentle care during his working holidays at Hartwell Stud. He leaves behind several high-class performers including in the last two weeks five top 10 eventing finishes and two working hunter championships.”
