Networking day for breeders

THE Irish Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association, in collaboration with the Irish Equine Centre, will stage an open industry forum for breeders in Kilkenny’s Newpark Hotel on Wednesday, September 10th.

Running from 12pm to 4pm, the event is entitled Thoroughbred360 and is designed “to help Irish breeders take their business to the next level.”

Organisers say it will be “an inspiring and interactive day”, “connecting passionate professionals from across the sectors to share insights, spark new ideas, and explore every stage of the mare and foal journey.”

  • WINR to visit de Bromhead yard

    WOMEN’S Irish Network for Racing will stage its next industry networking event in Waterford on Friday, August 15th. It will begin with a tour of Henry de Bromhead’s Knockeen yard, followed by lunch at Mount Congreve Gardens, and an evening of racing at Tramore.

    This event is open to women working across all areas of the racing and breeding industries. Full-day and part-day ticket options are available via Eventbrite.

  • King George worth £2 million

    ASCOT Racecourse has announced that next year’s King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes will become Britain’s richest ever race worth £2 million. Last Saturday’s edition was already the most valuable contest ever run at Ascot following an increase to £1.5 million from £1.25 million in 2024.
