AFTER 38 years, Horseware Ireland’s global headquarters will no longer be in Dundalk, Co Louth. The company announced they will be moving to Dublin Airport Central in May.

The company will occupy around 10,000sq.ft within Block Two, The Green, Dublin Airport Central, which is the final building to be delivered within phase one of the overall Dublin Airport Central development. The Block Two building sits adjacent to Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport.

Founded in 1985 by Tom MacGuinnes, the equestrian accessories company is majority controlled by the London-based private equity group Lonsdale Capital Partners, which paid over €47 million to acquire a 70% stake in early 2021. Horseware recorded double-digit growth in profits and sales for its 2021 financial year, accounts filed last November showed, and hires up to 400 people around the world.

Commenting on their new HQ location, Horseware Ireland CEO Mark Saunders, who took over from MacGuinness in January 2020, said: “Our new global headquarters will be a centre of excellence for design, innovation, and marketing, providing us with worldwide connectivity to our customers, as we target further growth in the decades ahead.

“As a global business focused almost entirely on international equine markets, Dublin Airport Central provides us with an excellent location, state-of-the-art facilities, national and international accessibility, and a high-quality working environment for our people, designed to the highest standards of workplace amenity and environmental sustainability. We currently serve customers in 70 countries worldwide, with significant reach in Europe and North America, and emerging potential in the Asia-Pacific region where equestrian markets are growing. This is a very exciting development for us.”
