HORSE Sport Ireland will host its annual three and four-year-old filly, horse and pony loose jumping competition this October and November.

These competitions aim to identify young performance fillies that may be suitable for the breeding herd and are open to any three or four-year-old horse that is studbook registered with a breed recorded, including supplementary section.

The top ranked Traditional Irish Horse (TIH) filly will be awarded a prize in the three and four-year-old horse loose jumping sections with a generous prize fund for both owners and breeders across all four competition sections.

Filly loose jumping is funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food, and the Marine under National Breeding Services.

The pony loose jumping competition will run at Creagh Equestrian Centre, Co Galway, on Thursday, October 19th, and the closing date is Tuesday, October 17th.

Horse loose jumping competitions will run as follows:

Kernans EC - Thursday, November 2nd, closing date Tuesday, October 31st;

Tubberbride EC - Thursday, November 9th, closing date Tuesday, November 7th;

Top Flight, Warrington - Monday, November 13th, closing date Thursday, November 9th.
