TARA Stud has a new stallion for 2018 in Australian Group 1 winner Divine Prophet. The son of Choisir won the Caulfield Guineas in October 2016.

His fee has been set at €7,500 and he will arrive at Derek Iceton’s farm having completed his first southern hemisphere covering season at Aquis Farm in Queensland.

When trained by the Hawkes family, Divine Prophet also won at Group 3 level and was placed in other Group 1 and Group 2 races.

Iceton said: “The horse is stunningly good looking, with an exceptional walk and perfect conformation. Being a Group 1 sprinter-miler by Choisir, he’s just the type of stallion the market wants.

“I’m doubly delighted to have been chosen to stand him by Aquis Farm, who have rapidly become a real force in Australian breeding and racing.”

Divine Prophet is from the extended family of Australian champion older horse General Command and Gold Pulse.

Shane McGrath of Aquis Farm said the horse “shows strikingly similar looks to his dam sire, Encosta De Lago” and added that he was delighted with how the horse’s stud career had begun.
