THERE was a moment during the Cheltenham Sale last Saturday when I noticed four Corkmen chatting together at one table. As I watched Mick Winters, his friend Tom Barry, Robert Tyner and owner-breeder Donal Coffey in conversation, I was thinking of the huge knowledge bank they represented collectively.

Less than 24 hours later it was back to business as usual and great to see Robert and Mary Tyner have a poignant Dungarvan winner with the Black Sam Bellamy gelding Pack Your Bags. He was probably the most interesting winner to come out of last weekend’s racing.
