THERE are some very nice pointers due to be sold after racing at Cheltenham this Saturday (January 24th). I’m expecting a strong sale and hopefully that will set the tone for the rest of the year.
Some observers felt that the December sale at Cheltenham was tricky but I think it was as good as could have been expected. Some of the horses on offer were relatively cheaply bought as foals or stores and many of them made a profit for their vendors without making astronomical sums. They were middle-market horses.
