THE announcement on Tuesday that Savills Ireland and Leopardstown Racecourse have combined to put together a three-year sponsorship deal for the former Grade 1 Christmas Chase (and Lexus Chase) is further proof of the high standing which Irish racing enjoys, not just nationally but internationally.

The race is one of the most important in the Irish calendar and was without a sponsor last December when it was won by Road To Respect. However, Pat Keogh, CEO of Leopardstown, was in no rush to land just any sponsor and is thrilled to secure the support of Savills Ireland, saying “it takes time to land a good one, and Savills is a truly international brand.”
