THE Irish Pony Club officially announced this week that Connolly’s Red Mills, Foran Equine plus Carr & Day & Martin will once again sponsor the IPC eventing league and Championships for 2023.

The first qualifier is being hosted by the Wexford Branch tomorrow, Sunday, at The Kennels in Moorefields where there is an 8.30am start for the dressage phase in five of the seven arenas. The series continues right through the summer months culminating in the Championship finals, by kind permission of Tattersalls Ireland, over the weekend of August 26th and 27th. The Eventing Championships cater for IPC members who are in their 10th year up to their 21st year.

Ivan Hatton, the IPC’s Chairperson of Eventing, stated: “We are delighted to announce that Connolly’s Red Mills has again agreed to be the main sponsor of our qualifiers and Championships. Connolly’s Red Mills has deep ties to the IPC, and to the equine industry worldwide, and we thank them most sincerely for their very generous sponsorship. I wish all IPC members the very best of luck at the qualifiers in the coming months.”

Qualifiers

To earn league points (which will be in-line with those for the Connolly’s Red Mills series), members must first ensure that their thoroughbreds are registered, for free, with Treo Eile, they should have a Weatherbys or equivalent racing authority passport (which must be available for checking at each qualifier and at the Championships) and they must be entered under the name as per passport.
