DERRY’S Daniel Coyle may have opted to withdraw the legendary Legacy from the European Championships in A Coruña last week, but that did not deter him from winning with another talented mare at the Spanish venue.
Coyle and the nine-year-old mare Daydream were among 32 starters in the three-star 1.55m Porsche Grand Prix on Saturday, just six of whom managed to keep the poles in place in the first round to proceed to the jump-off. Three of these combinations faulted second time out, leaving just three to take the podium places.
