Pinch test: Pick up a fold of skin on the neck. When you release the fold should return to normal within five seconds.
Dehydration check: Press gently on the gum near your horse's upper teath. The skin will turn pink or white as you press. Release and the colour should return to normal within two seconds. If it takes longer your horse could be dehydrated
