DAYS after he was crowned Horse Of The Year in the USA, the five-year-old Gun Runner won the world’s richest horse race, the Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes at Gulfstream Park.

This was his sixth win at the highest level and added to prior victories in the Breeders’ Cup Classic (beating Arrogate), the Woodward Stakes (by more than 10 lengths), the Stephen Foster Handicap (by seven lengths), the Whitney Stakes (beating Keen Ice by more than five lengths) and the Clark Handicap.
