EUGENE Daly’s Longview Stud sold a pair of colts for £180,000 each, coming close to heading the trade on both days. His son of Blue Point on day one is the second foal out of the British and US stakes-placed So Hi Society. The mare’s first runner is a two-year-old who has hit the bar on three of her four starts.

“The owner was keen to get a two-year-old type, so there was no better place to come than Doncaster,” said Ed Sackville after successfully securing the colt on behalf of an undisclosed British-based client. “This colt was a real standout,” he continued. “The sire needs no introduction, and the dam was a fast filly, from a lovely Wildenstein family. He’s going to be trained by Dave Loughnane, who’s got a really good record with two-year-olds.”
