AMONG those from the sport horse world at the Killinick Harriers’ point-to-point in sunny Lingstown on Sunday was local event rider Louise Codd who was on duty as a fence steward.

One-time regular point-to-point follower, Horse Sport Ireland chief executive Damian McDonald watched the first couple of races in the company of his father, well-known breeder Albert. The pair then headed off to support Crossabeg-Ballymurn in their semi-final of the club junior hurling championships in Enniscorthy; sadly they might have been better off staying at Lingstown.
