KOKTAIL Brut (13/2) bagged his second Grade 2 victory of the season in the Donohue Marquees Novice Hurdle for Gordon Elliott and Gigginstown House Stud. Jack Kennedy’s mount won the Royal Bond Novice Hurdle over course and distance of two miles in November, and had since run at Grade 1 level, a fourth-placed effort his best.

Dropping back down in grade, he led from three out and was joined by Royal Bond runner-up Blake and Donagh Meyler at the next flight. His regular rival came down at the last, leaving the winner clear to beat Ebony King by nine and a half lengths.
