LAST weekend’s Breeders’ Cup was, for me at least, one of the more enjoyable. My pleasure was helped in no small way by successes for a number of Irish-bred runners.

There were additional triumphs for Irish stallions past and present, whitewashes in the Juvenile Fillies’ Turf and the Mile, while Tarnawa’s victory over Magical pitched two of the best females in the world against each other.
